Európa bez hraníc: štyri dni v Kojetíne očami účastníka

Od 20. do 23. augusta 2026 sme sa zúčastnili medzinárodného stretnutia v českom Kojetíne. Vrátili sme sa s novými kontaktmi, inšpiráciou aj výbornou náladou.

Záhorácky Fénix bol jedným z partnerov projektu „Evropa bez hranic – 70 let společné cesty“, ktorý s podporou Európskej únie pripravil Dům dětí a mládeže Kojetín. Pre organizáciu, ktorá pracuje s deťmi a mládežou, to bola skvelá príležitosť spoznať kolegov z iných krajín a vymeniť si skúsenosti.

Prvý večer: Spoznaj môj svet

V Měšťanskej besede v Kojetíne sme sa ubytovali, spoločne povečerali a hneď sa aj pustili do vzájomného spoznávania. Počas večera „Poznej můj svět“ sa predstavili jednotlivé organizácie a krajiny. Potom nasledovala výmena skúseností, predstavenie činnosti Europe Direct a politiky ochrany práv detí a otvorená diskusia.

Piatok: bezpečná Európa a guláš, ktorý spája

Deň sme odštartovali spoločnou rozcvičkou. Policajti z ČR nám porozprávali o kyberšikane a obťažovaní a v bloku „Bezpečná Európa“ sme absolvovali workshopy s orgánom sociálnoprávnej ochrany detí, organizáciou Tilia Slunce, zástupcami pestúnskej starostlivosti a hasičmi. Pre nás, ktorí pracujeme s deťmi, boli tieto témy mimoriadne cenné. Nasledovali netradičné pohybové aktivity v bloku „Interaktívna viacjazyčná Európa“.

Poobede sa vo Střelnici začal variť kotlíkový guláš. Zapojiť sa mohol ktokoľvek, a tak z toho vznikla skutočná medzinárodná súťaž. Večer prišla ochutnávka, hlasovanie a vyhlásenie výsledkov. Deň vyvrcholil Európskym večerom „Tancuje celá Európa“ s kapelou NOVIOS.

Sobota: Brno, fotomisia a Euro-party

Celodenný výlet do Brna sme začali komentovanou prehliadkou katedrály sv. Petra a Pavla a obedom v reštaurácii L’Eau Vive, ktorú vedú sestry misionárky z rodiny Donum Dei. Poobede sme v hre „Brno na mape – nájdi, objav, zažiž“ plnili fotomisiu: skupinová fotka pod brnenským drakom, pod Joštovým koňom a pri orloji. Večer sme diskutovali o úlohe sociálnych sietí v živote aktívneho občana a deň sme zakončili Euro-party s tancom a hudbou z rôznych krajín.

Nedeľa: budúcnosť v EÚ a rozlúčka

V záverečnom bloku „Budúcnosť v EÚ“ sa vyhlásil víťaz súťaže Logo Európy, v ktorej sa zapojili žiaci miestnych škôl, hrali sme kvíz „Si Európan/ka, vieš to?“ a diskutovali v panele „Keď bezpečie nie je samozrejmosť“. Po spoločnom obede sme sa rozlúčili.

Ďakujeme organizátorom z DDM Kojetín za veľkorysé prijatie a za bohatý program. Tešíme sa na ďalšie spoločné stretnutie!

Europe Without Borders: Four Days in Kojetín Through a Participant's Eyes

From 20 to 23 August 2026 we took part in an international meeting in Kojetín, Czechia. We came back with new contacts, fresh inspiration and a great mood.

Záhorácky Fénix was one of the partners of the project “Europe Without Borders – 70 Years of a Shared Journey”, prepared with the support of the European Union by the Kojetín House of Children and Youth (DDM Kojetín). For an organisation that works with children and young people, it was a wonderful opportunity to meet colleagues from other countries and exchange experience.

The first evening: Discover My World

We settled in at Měšťanská beseda in Kojetín, shared dinner, and started getting to know each other right away. During the evening “Discover My World,” the participating organisations and countries introduced themselves. An exchange of experience followed, with a presentation of the work of Europe Direct and of the child-rights protection policy, and an open discussion.

Friday: a safe Europe and goulash that brings people together

We started the day with a joint warm-up. Officers of the Czech Police talked to us about cyberbullying and harassment, and in the “Safe Europe” block we took part in workshops with the social and legal child-protection authority, Tilia Slunce, foster-care representatives and firefighters. For those of us who work with children, these topics were especially valuable. Unconventional physical activities followed in the “Interactive Multilingual Europe” block.

In the afternoon, cauldron goulash started cooking at Střelnice. Anyone could join in, and it turned into a genuine international competition. In the evening came the tasting, the voting and the announcement of the results. The day culminated in the European Evening “Europe in Dance” with the band NOVIOS.

Saturday: Brno, a photo mission and a Euro-party

We began a full-day trip to Brno with a guided tour of the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul and lunch at the restaurant L’Eau Vive, run by missionary sisters of the Donum Dei family. In the afternoon, the game “Brno on the Map – Find, Discover, Experience” sent us on a photo mission: a group photo under the Brno Dragon, under Jošt's Horse and at the Astronomical Clock. In the evening we discussed the role of social media in the life of an active citizen, and the day ended with a Euro-party full of dancing and music from many countries.

Sunday: the future in the EU and farewell

In the closing block, “The Future in the EU,” the winner of the “Logo of Europe” contest, in which pupils of local schools took part, was announced; we played the quiz “Are You European? Do You Know It?” and joined the panel “When Safety Is Not a Given.” After a joint lunch, we said our goodbyes.

Thank you to the organisers from DDM Kojetín for the warm welcome and the rich programme. We look forward to meeting again!
